Last month in Japan, they had a power outage to a couple of high-speed train lines, and 26 trains were cancelled. This week they said what had happened–a tiny slug, not even 1 inch long–got into the wiring box, and when it touched the wires, it was killed…along with killing the power to the train lines. Crazy how something so small like that can take down a huge train system.

Satan works like that–he finds a small weakness and sneaks in when we don’t expect it. Maybe it’s lying to your mom and dad about something really small that doesn’t seem like a big deal. But as soon as you get comfortable telling small lies, it’s easier to tell big ones.

None of us are perfect, and we all tell lies and make plenty of mistakes. But just make sure you admit them to God, ask for forgiveness and then do the same thing to your parents. Don’t let those things be like a tiny slug.

Let kindness and truth never leave you— bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart.

Proverbs 3:3 (TLV)

Dear Lord, I’m sorry for any sins I’ve committed today. Please forgive me. Thank you for loving me and accepting me. Amen.
