Okay, today is a DAY! Check this out–July 26 is National All or Nothing Day, National Get Gnarly Day, and National Talk in an Elevator Day. Wow. The universe is telling you something today. All of these days mean to go do something unusual, something out of your comfort zone. All or Nothing means to put aside your fears and go for something you want, Get Gnarly means to take on a challenge and do something new, and Talk in an Elevator–well, it’s facing a different kind of fear, but basically it means to put down the phone and talk to a stranger.
God made us for adventure. He did not make us to sit inside, watch TV, or play video games. He made us to see things, be excited, face challenges and enjoy the world. Find a way to go try something new today–you may not be able to go skydiving, but maybe you can try a new type of food, or try a class–a new sport, learn how to cook–there’s a big world out there of things to try.
You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.
Psalm 16:11 (NIV)
Dear Lord, Thank you for the world, all the amazing things out there to learn, experience and enjoy. Help me to take advantage of these things. Amen.
