HOPE. It means to expect a positive outcome or to “expect with confidence”. It’s a big part of thinking positively.

Our world doesn’t really value HOPE–think about it, there aren’t many examples of positive, hopeful people on TV, in movies. We laugh at sarcastic people and people who make fun of others. We like to predict how things are going to fail, not work, not just to be negative, but to look smart–like we always know how things will turn out.

Instead, we really should HOPE. What if you replied back to friends or family about how today is going to be a GREAT DAY, instead of how boring it’s going to be? What if you were the person that other people came to for support? What if you were the person people came to when they need someone to give them HOPE? What if you were the person who saw the good, the light, the hope in the world–not the bad or the dark or the negative?

What if?

I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me.

Phillipians 4:13 (EHV)

Dear Lord, Thank you for giving me what I need. Give me the ability to be positive today, show me how to say hopeful things, and to think hopefully about my day. Amen.
