David was a man of God. His most famous moment was when he defeated the man Goliath. David was just a simple shepherd boy, pretty young. But he had faith in God and wasn’t afraid of Goliath.

Then David said to the Philistine, “You come to me with a sword and with a spear and with a javelin, but I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. 46 This day the Lord will deliver you into my hand,
1 Samuel 17: 45-46a
David knew God could defeat Goliath, and David made himself available for God to use. Most of the time when we read this story, we think about how we can do anything because God is on our side. But remember that David wanted to be used by God–David was on God’s side.
God wants to be your Savior, but you get to choose to accept his love. Take his salvation and join his side.
Dear Lord, Thank you for sending Jesus to die for my sins. I believe in you Lord, and I want to be on your side. Use me for your glory Lord. Amen.
