What would you do if you didn’t have power for a whole day?

You’ve probably experienced a power outage when your electricity goes out for a few minutes, maybe an hour. But what if it went out for a whole day? For most of us, it’s really more of an inconvenience–you can’t charge your devices, you can’t watch TV, maybe the worst thing is all the food in the fridge spoils. It’s a good thing to think about–how much electricity do you use on things that aren’t really necessary?

In South America, 50 million people were out of power yesterday–all of Uruguay and Argentina were without electricity for a day.

When you think of power, you should think of our God. He has unlimited power. And he is for us. And he has given you power as well. Remember that as you go to sleep and as you go through your day tomorrow.

The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my savior; my God is my rock, in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety.

Psalm 18:2 (NLT)

Dear Lord, Thank you for giving me power each day, your power. You are almighty and powerful, and you are bigger than anything. Amen.
