I bet that you are never impatient (if you couldn’t tell, that was a sarcastic voice). All of us get impatient for things, whether it’s in line for the check-out at the grocery, or waiting for something amazing like your birthday, but we all have times where we just can’t wait.
Sometimes we get impatient for God to do something. Have you ever known someone who was sick for a while? Maybe you prayed for them for a long time, and it didn’t seem like God was… doing anything. Sometimes we don’t see answers to prayer, and sometimes we don’t get the answer we want.
God knows what you need, and He knows it better than we do. Sometimes waiting is what we need to develop. Be patient, God has a plan for you and for your whole life.
7 Rest in the Lord; wait patiently for him to act.
Psalm 37:7 (TLB)
11 For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord. They are plans for good and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
Jeremiah 29:11 (TLB)
Dear Lord, it’s so hard to be patient. Help me to trust in your plan for my life. Help me to not try and take control, but to walk in your path. Thank you for having a plan already laid out for me, one with a future and a hope. Amen.
