Fun fact for the day: You know those lollipops Dum-Dums, how there are always a lot of the mystery flavor?? Supposedly, according to rumors, the mystery flavor is actually a mix of two flavors–mystery flavor pops happen when they finish a batch of a flavor, and start a new batch–there’s a bit of time where the two flavors overlap. So it’s always different.
God is a God of mystery–we are not supposed to be able to understand him. We can’t know what he knows, or even grasp what Heaven will be like. God is beyond our knowledge–He is bigger than what we can even imagine. We sometimes limit God in our minds when we think of him, but he is more and more and more than we can think of.
Yes, God’s riches are very great! His wisdom and knowledge have no end! No one can explain what God decides. No one can understand his ways. 34 As the Scriptures say,
Romans 11:33-36 (ERV)
“Who can know what is on the Lord’s mind?
Who is able to give him advice?”
35 “Who has ever given God anything?
God owes nothing to anyone.”
36 Yes, God made all things. And everything continues through him and for him. To God be the glory forever! Amen.
Dear Lord, You are a mystery to me. Thank you for being such a powerful and huge God that I can’t figure you out. You are bigger and more amazing than we humans can understand. Amen.
