Did you know there are a few words that describe God that are big words, but good ones. One is the word omnipotent. Know what that means? It means all-powerful or unlimited power. So think of the mightiest superhero or power, maybe the Infinity Stones, the Avengers… and God would be a million times more powerful. And He’s on our side.

Fun fact: do you know the root words of omnipotent? Omni in Latin is “all” , like omnivorous animals eat ‘all’ foods, plant and meat. Potent is powerful or mighty. It’s hidden in the word potential, which means more like possibility, but it’s cool to think it’s because you have the power to become something great.

We serve an omnipotent God. There is nothing he can’t do or conquer.

Yours, O Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, for all that is in the heavens and in the earth is yours. Yours is the kingdom, O Lord, and you are exalted as head above all.

1 Chronicles 29:11

The voice of the Lord is powerful; the voice of the Lord is full of majesty.

Psalm 29:4

Dear Lord, You are Almighty God, Victorious over all. You have defeated death, and you are ruler over heaven and earth. I will be strong and courageous in your might today Lord. Amen.
