Sorry–we’ve had some technical difficulties the last two days, so some posts are missing. We think we solved the problem, but sometimes, things are out of your control and you just gotta roll with it.

We think we are in control of our lives, but in reality, God is in control. Sometimes things happen that we don’t understand–tragedies like floods, fires, earthquakes, hurricanes, or when someone close to us gets sick or dies. God being in control doesn’t mean that bad things don’t happen–it does mean that He is with us when those things happen and that He’ll give us what we need to get through it. It’s a really hard thing to understand that God just doesn’t take away bad things in life. But there is evil and darkness in the world, and we don’t live in a perfect place. But we will some day.

…we are able to hold our heads high no matter what happens and know that all is well, for we know how dearly God loves us, and we feel this warm love everywhere within us because God has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.

Romans 5:5 (TLB)

Dear Lord, Help me understand what to do when things feel out of control. Forgive me for my small faith sometimes, help me to trust 100% in you each day. Amen.
