It’s July now, and we’re almost to the heart of summer…which means… we’re getting to the summer fruit season. I don’t know about where you live, but for me, I can’t wait for the peaches and tomatoes to get perfect. For you, it’s maybe plums, cherries or apricots. I’m not forgetting the strawberries–they’ve been in season for a while around here. Fun fact: did you know a strawberry isn’t actually a berry? Berries have their seeds on the inside of the fruit and a strawberry does not. Bonus fun fact: cherry farmers have to hire helicopter pilots to fly over their crops after a rainfall to help air dry them, or the cherries will get ruined.
When you’re eating a tasty summer fruit, think of how good God is. His goodness is overwhelming, kind of like the intense flavor of a ripe peach.
but even then God revealed Himself by doing good to you—giving you rain for your crops and fruitful harvests season after season, filling your stomachs with food and your hearts with joy.
Acts 14:17 (VOICE)
Dear Lord, thank you for your goodness. You are good all the time. Amen.
